History
The Steaming Cup first opened in June of 2004, and we are proud to be able to brag about getting to be 7 years old in 2011. If you visit the shop, you will have to take the time to meet the owners - Terry, Kerry and Shawn Mackay.

We studied coffee shops for 20 years before opening the shop. Our original plan was to open a small "mom and pop" establishment.  So much for the small aspect! But in those formative years, we studied and practiced light entertaining and desserts, both design and production. We took cooking and baking classes, and experimented with high school students, parents and teachers at Pius XI High School Art Studio Nights. We are thanking al those brave souls for being our test subjects.  No one went screaming away - so yes, they deserve our thanks!
BUILDING News

Our shop used to look like this, before we had any employees!  Now we have 15 people on our payroll.  The Cup has certainly grown up!  Picture this against what you see at the Cup today....
Whew..looks a bit busy right now.  Lots to see - hopefully warmer and clearly more fun.  Stop in and see for yourself! - I put up a bajillion ceiling hooks to make the hanging of ornaments easier this year.  It'll be fun!  If you have visited recently, you will see the magic of our ceiling decorated to fit the season - or so we believe.  We hope it adds to the Steamng Cup atmosphere!  Let us know!  Since summer with its warm and loving (incredible) heat is rumored to be coming to Waukesha, we wanted to do our part.  Check out our little ceiling flowers!

We're thinking that Cheryl would give up the fight and admit that our newest shrimp sammich is the world's best!! C'mon Cheryl, whadda ya say???  No answer yet???? In her absence, we accept her silence as absolute approval here!  Her silence says...this is the BEST sandwich she ever ate!!!!  The shrimp was spilling out, the sause is spectacular!! She would give her BFF cooties for just ONE MORE BITE!!!  Okay pokay, Cheryl, your silence is going too far - tell the folks to cmon down!
