Christmas presents a real challenge for our small shop. Many of our workers go out of state. We are very short staffed and hence..we are closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Then the next week we will be hustling hard but it will be a long week since there are about 5 people to cover the 12 to 16 hour days. We will welcome the New Years break when we close at 4PM on New Year's Eve. Then we will stay closed on 1/1. We will open as usual on 1/2 at 6:30am

Located in the heart of historic downtown Waukesha, The Steaming Cup is a local hot spot. We are enjoying this year 2011, still working on some new food and working on some new drinks that are signature items for The Steaming Cup. We hope you can find your way downtown even tho' we got rid of the one way streets 10 years ago in downtown! Isn't that a milestone?
Start your morning off right with a steaming cup of coffee, or one of our many specialty espresso drinks, or try one of our fabulous teas - we have over 120 kinds to choose from. Grab a fresh scone or muffin from the bakery case, or order a breakfast sandwich and you are ready for the day!

On any day, stop in for lunch or dinner and choose from our wide variety of specialty sandwiches, fresh salads and soup - and don't forget about dessert! Our deli case contains many mouth watering temptations from which to choose. MoundsBar brownie is one of our returning specials! In case you might have missed, we have spent some time getting our tea service better equipped for 2011. Take a look at our tea shelves and ask to see our tea list. There are more than 120 choices - have you tried them all yet?

COFFEE HIGHLIGHTS: We returned another great coffee flavor favorite - for those of you who live for the sugar-free opportunity to infuse yourself with more than the normal cup. WINTER WILLIIES and MADRIGAL MAGIC has returned - sure to make you think cool weather, snow and warm home fires! Come down to The Cup - Taste & Believe! Have you tried it yet? Tell Kerry about your favorite! Remember that Steaming Cup flavored coffee is always based on a fresh roasted and high quality light roast coffee. Starting with a good base builds great flavor! We'll put our custom flavored coffee up against the best anywhere! Terry is pushing Kerry to build another new flavor for this winter. Any suggestions?
