What ideas do we have for the TeaRoom?
TEAROOM NAME: No question anymore, it is now Waukesha's SpringHouse TeaRoom. Sounds to us like it continues our respect for Waukesha's historical roots.
AFTERNOON TEA: We now specialize in afternoon teas. An afternoon tea should combine both sweets, savories and desserts. Tea sandwiches and/or quiche are the perfect accompaniments for a beautiful presentation of small sweets such as shortbreads, dipped fruits, cookies, muffins or finger foods. Of course, you must have fresh scones accompanied by cream and preserves. Cakes should be not heavily frosted. Cake portions should be small if other foods are served. It is much better to serve several small beautiful foods rather than large portions. After all, the purpose of afternoon tea is to satisfy the soul rather than the stomach! But that has not stopped us from making sure that all participants

Our UWW classes have gone quite well so far, with around 35 people already attending. We have two more classes, one tea and one coffee. At each class, we have served some of our home-made biscuits. last night(2/19/08) we served two new recipes; walnut cherry and tomato, feta and olive biscuits(actually a cream scone)
It seemed to get pretty good reviews.... we will continue to practice the new recipes. We have also been trying to offer those treats to our Friday and Saturday night music listeners... stop in!!!
We have been approved for three new classes to be offered in the fall from UWW. Check them out on our UW-Classes page!! We are sure they'll be great classes!

SPRING TEA:
BIRTHDAY TEA: Held as Tea #7 & #9
HOLIDAY TEA:
ENGAGEMENT TEA:
SHOWER TEA: Held as Tea #8
GOOD-BYE TEA: Held as Tea #6
TEA ITSELF: The most important element that we plan to bring to Waukesha is the tea. We will offer a choice of loose teas made in serious tea pots. There are so many teas to try these days. Half the fun of afternoon tea is discovering a new tea or a delicious blend. Taste the tea first before adding sugar, lemon or milk. Adding something to tea before you taste it is like salting your food before you try it. Pay homage to the tea blender by tasting your tea first.
